About Sydney Walker

Sydney Walker is a senior majoring in Counseling and Human Services. In her role at Power in Humanity, she channels her passion for helping others by planning fundraisers and organizing community-centered events that create meaningful impact. Sydney also brings hands-on experience from her time as an intern, where she facilitated group counseling sessions for teenagers, helping to create a supportive and open environment for growth and connection.

In addition to academic and professional work, she has developed strong leadership and teamwork skills as a leader on both all-star and high school cheerleading teams, where she learned the importance of communication, motivation, and collaboration. Sydney also has a background in event coordination through organizing and participating in her own fashion shows and other art collectives, which have strengthened her creativity, attention to detail, and ability to bring people together around shared experiences. Altogether, these experiences have shaped Sydney's commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement.
